Adenosine

Ever since I read some neurobiology articles for my “Marine Mammal Sleep” research, I began picturing my brain filled with adenosine when I had to work past bedtime. Waking activities break down ATP for energy and produce Adenosine, causing sleepiness. Sleep decreases adenosine level. Coffee, should I drink it, might be a good diluent (?).
